Why Every Woman Deserves Time for Herself
Why I Created Time for Yourself — And Why It Matters More Than Ever
When Did You Last Have Time That Was Truly Yours?
Time where you sit with no interruptions — no phone, no TV or computer, no distractions at all. Just lovely quiet time for your mind. I try my best to find at least 30 minutes a day of complete quiet. One challenge I have is that even when I sit down to enjoy the stillness, it takes a lot of self-control not to reach for my phone or turn the TV on. What helps me most is sitting outside and looking out into nature.
Quiet time is something most women find very hard to get. We are good at looking after everyone else. We are less good at looking after ourselves.
The Moment That Changed Everything
When I worked on the vineyards, I had a small ritual. On the way home, I would stop the car, find a peaceful spot, and read a book for twenty minutes. Just me, the fresh air, and silence. No one needing anything from me. No dishes in the corner of my eye. No mental list running in the background.
It was the most peaceful part of my day.
When I changed jobs I kept telling myself I would recreate that feeling. "When I get home I'll have thirty minutes to relax." But it never happened. The house, the partner, the endless visible reminders of everything still waiting to be done — it all pulled at my attention before I had even sat down.
I couldn't switch off at home. When I mentioned this to a friend, she told me she did something similar — she would stop at the Willunga lookout on her way home just to sit and breathe. That gave me the confidence to share my experience with more friends, and I discovered that many of them wished they had a peaceful spot where they could simply stop. That is where the idea for Time for Yourself was born.
What Is Time for Yourself?
Time for Yourself is a small, women-only wellness space in Aberfoyle Park, Adelaide, created for women who need — and deserve — a genuine break.
I offer personal coaching, fitness sessions, and a simple but powerful add-on that most wellness businesses don't offer: uninterrupted time to simply be.
After every session, you are warmly welcome to stay for around thirty minutes. Sit quietly. Read one of the books from the shelf. Enjoy a cup of tea in the garden. Or just stare into space without a single thing demanding your attention.
No guilt. No rush. Just your time.
Who Is This For?
Time for Yourself is designed for women who need a space and time to relax and truly switch off.
What Else Do I Offer?
Personal Coaching & Mentoring — supportive, one-on-one coaching to help you find clarity, set meaningful goals, and build the motivation to actually reach them. Most women already know deep down what they want — sometimes they just need someone in their corner helping them get there.
Fitness for Women — gentle, judgement-free fitness sessions designed for women who want to feel stronger and healthier but don't feel at home in a gym. Sessions take place outdoors — in parks, open spaces, and fresh air — away from crowds and any sense of being watched or compared to anyone else.
Time for Yourself — thirty minutes of complimentary quiet time after every session. Tea, books, garden, silence. Whatever you need.
Massage — coming soon. In the near future, I will offer relaxing massages for women only. The intention is to relax both your body and mind.
Where Are We?
Sessions take place in Aberfoyle Park, in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. The front of the house is set up exclusively for clients — calm, welcoming, and completely separate from the busyness of everyday life.
